Personal statements:

"I just don't know who to talk to."

Have you ever thought this to yourself? Everyone experiences times in life where we feel overwhelmed, confused, frustrated, and alone. You might wonder who can process these feelings and encounters with you. Maybe you feel there are deeper issues of meaning, faith, and spiritual pain that you would like to address with a pastoral presence. Maybe you wonder if long-term clinical counseling is not the exact or only path you need. Or perhaps you are looking for a short term, sporadic, or different type of care.

I would love to meet with you. I am passionate about listening deeply to your story and processing how God is present in the midst of it. I am a non-judgmental, safe space for individuals hurt by church communities, those questioning their faith, and those who have left their faith and are discerning what is next. I have been involved in too many Protestant denominations and church roles to count, from which I offer a flexible and contextualized understanding for a variety of faith backgrounds.

I do not offer clinical counseling or therapy, but I do offer pastoral listening, processing, and spiritual reflection. I can do in-person visits in Grand Rapids or Telehealth anywhere.

Hobbies & Interests:

Most of my free time is spent with my favorite people: my husband and four kids. I like cooking and eating (but not the cleanup part). I am always on the lookout for fun community events to meet new people and build more connections. I also love thrift shopping, going to the library, and drinking fancy coffee. When I have the time (and am hands free) I still love playing music, listening to music, and writing.
