Personal statements:

Taking the first step towards change, healing, and freedom can be one of the most vulnerable and hardest, yet one of the most rewarding; acknowledging the need you have for help or change is that first step. There will be many more steps to come, some that are easy, some requiring work, some that are more painful, and some that make all the hard work worth it. I consider it a privilege to be invited into your journey.

In partnering with you, it is my aim to develop a safe and open therapeutic relationship while coming alongside you to achieve your goals for therapy and ultimately empower you to create a new normal of healthy choices along your journey. I believe that the power of choice is central to your success in counseling. Through a combination of psychoeducational approaches, behavioral techniques, and evidence-based practices I can help you navigate your choices that are necessary to achieve your goals.

Incorporating the physical, mental, and spiritual aspect of an individual can help bring restoration to the whole person. While I do not claim to be a health coach, I would love to discuss how the body and brain work together. In addition to physical and mental health, spiritual health is equally as important to address. I have been been a Christ-follower for most of my life, and love talking about Him and including Him in this journey as much as my client desires. Proverbs 17:22 tells us that “A cheerful heart is good medicine”, hopefully with some laughter and occasional tears, you will find the healing you need!

I am easy to contact and would look forward to speaking with you to identify if you and I would be a good fit for this next step in your healing journey!
